Confirmation

– One of the seven sacraments that Christ instituted and offered to His Church.

– It gives us the fullness of the Holy Spirit, preparing us to serve as His witnesses to the world.

 

Requirements:

– Must be a baptized Catholic.

– Must receive sufficient catechesis and a developed prayer life to be a living witness of the faith.

– Must not be in serious sin (should receive the sacrament of confession first).

 

Process to receive Confirmation:

– Children who are enrolled in Religious Education or Catholic School will be prepared to receive Confirmation in 8th grade.

– All others are required to enroll in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)  – see Religious Education
